Rock and roll is where you use two colors of ink, usually one lighter than the other. In this card one combo I used was Summer Sun and Really Rust. I furst stamped the leaf image in Summer sun, then rolled the edges of the stamp on the Really Rust ink pad. I really like how this turned out, really pretty with the fall colors. There are no fall colors left here in Minnesota, we are down to the bare limbs, but I'm still in the mood for fall cards. I used several other ink combo's on this candle. I used More Mustard and Close to Cocoa and Summer Sun and Pumkin Pie.
As for stamping on the candle, Splitcoast Stampers has a great Resources section and here is the Stamped Candle Tutorial. This is the technique I used to adhere the stamped images to the candle.
Here is a picture of the final wrapped product. I put the candle in a cello bag and tied it up with some grossgrain ribbon and added a tag. I hope my hostess tonight will enjoy it. I had lots of fun making it!
