Wow, what a fun weekend we have had. Saturday we went to see The Lion King, the musical! It was fantastic! This is the Broadway show brought to Minneapolis, MN. I can't say enough of how wonderful it was. I had gotten the tickets for my husband for his 40th birthday back in June. We've talked about wanting to go since the last time it was in town.

Today we put up the Christmas lights on our house! It was a beautiful day here in Minnesota, highs near 50, so a nice day to put up the lights without freezing. My parents are coming for dinner tonight to celebrate my dad's birthday, so we will have a pre-lighting tonight, just to see how things look and then the big lighting will be Thanksgiving night. For some reason, I am just so excited for the holiday's this year.

As for stamping, I've been trying out some of the tutorials in Splitcoast Stampers lately. Here is one project I worked on this week.

This is a Criss-Cross Card, it was so much fun to make! It uses a Retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper, True Thyme from last year's Holiday Mini, I was trying to use some of the many papers I tend to hoard! I also used a stamp from Perfect Presentation, a Hostess set from the current Fall/Winter 2007 catalog, our Round Tab punch, Corner Rounder punch, Old Olive paper, Old Olive Ink and Bashful Blue paper. A very fun project and I think it would make a great card to attach a photo and a saying on the inset. Very unique instead of the standard photo card.
